Home cinema
Home cinema, large or small
Whether you want a dedicated home cinema equipped with the latest technology, or just a small TV room, Picture2Sound can help.
Cinema rooms are equipped with the latest projectors and screens, custom installed. To that, we add high end audio to bring that big picture to life using Dolby Atmos surround sound. Small TV rooms generally have a flat screen TV mounted on the wall and either surround sound or, for simpler installations, a sound bar.
Components of a home cinema system
A home cinema system typically has a projector and screen or a large flat-screen high-resolution HDTV system, with films or other video content played on a DVD or Blu-ray player. Audio is provided by a multi-channel power amplifier driving 2 to 5 speakers – or more in a surround sound setup. Usually there is also at least one low-frequency subwoofer speaker cabinet to amplify low-frequency effects from film soundtracks and reproduce the deep notes of music.
Can I make my own home cinema?
A DIY home cinema installer needs knowledge of sound and video design and electronics. They will need to do in-depth research on the specifications of each component that is needed. For example, which speakers perform best in small rooms or large rooms? Seating positions must be considered, too. It also requires an understanding of technicalities such as speaker impedance, power handling, HDMI compatibility and cabling, to name a few. What’s more, the technology changes fast.
As professionals, Picture2Sound have up-to-date knowledge of these complex systems, and how to install and connect them.
Dolby Atmos surround sound
Dolby Atmos sound moves around you in three-dimensional space, so you feel like you’re inside the action.
Blu-Ray
Images from blu-ray discs are High Definition (HD), comprising 1,080 horizontal lines, compared with just 576 on a standard-definition DVD. It is a must-have for home cinema enthusiasts.
